Requirements - that the repair meets the specifications to be in-line with the tyre manufacturers repair policy and that it is safe and legal to do so. Until recently our policy on RUNFLAT tyres was not to repair. However, recently some tyre manufacturers have advised that under the correct circumstances their RUNFLAT tyres may be repaired. Other manufacturers have continued to advise NEVER to repair their Self Supporting or RUNFLAT tyres. The reason for this difference in policy is that the tyres are constructed differently.
